Suspension and Rims!!!

hey guys quick question trying to get all my motor stuff together but I can get all the power I want without coilovers.

Wanted to know if the evo 8/9MR s teins would work on our cars? A guy locally is selling them and if they work I want to pick them up asap!!! And what suspension do you reccomend for the rims below?

Rim question

I plan on getting these rims and I think they look sick!!! http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=31

the only problem is if I lower the car local companies told me it would probably rub... Any suggestions or TireRack can you get me these rims and make them fit or do you have any rims that look just like this style?

Im running Motegi 17x7 with 205/40 tires. Dunno my rim offset but with my mild drop they only rub if I come into my driveway fast as it has a sharp raise right at the beginning. Although if I have two or more ppl the rubbing happens more often.

so what kind of coilovers can I get that will lower it real nice but also not rub, I know when I get the rims its going to raise the car a bit...

or can I make the coilvers really aggressive to where my ride wont move as much?

Well with the coilovers you don't really have to worry about rubbing since you can adjust them. I have Ksport and like them. The only that sucked was that I blew the passenger side and the rear this past winter because I didn't raise it and the winter sucked ***** this year.

Depending on your price range we have a couple of options available, Ksport, Tein, Megan, KW, and others.

Don't forget that the Evo front ones work on our cars but not the rears.

I like your wheel choice I have been thinking about getting those wheels in hyper black 17x9 25mm offset... are you going for 25 or 30?

yeah but that is 9.5 wide so its gonna be deeper.. are you going for the 9.5? otherwise the 25mm offset should make the 9" wide deeper then the 30mm

Well Rota said that the turning radius might allow the rim to rub so looking for rims now unless someone knows these rims will be fine with no problems

You can use Evo springs on the Lancer, but they aren't a comfortable ride. I installed some Evo springs and was not a fan. Evo springs have a higher rate in the rear because of the AWD and higher HP turbo engine. It doesn't translate well to a FWD Lancer. I got sick of them and went with some Tein S-Techs after a month.

Just my $0.02...
