Wanting Leather now maybe? :(

hey guys so I have had my new evo gsr for just over a month now and to be honest I wish I had the leather seats. Anyone else ever feel like this? I thought that only the MR was available with the leather package but I didn't want the paddle shifters. Any regrets out there? lol

You can still get them added for $1000 or so through that Mitsu aftermarket leather program thing. Someone did it and posted pics in the show section awhile back. It looked pretty good. Some say it is $1000 and others say $1500. I guess if you really want leather its just better to buy the SL option for around $2k.

I like leather if possible but didnt car about it that much. Might be because I already have a car with leather and when you live in Texas it isn't all that great.

Leather definitely is nice. Cloth is better for cold mornings and hot summer days though.

Yeah I had leather in my old acura rsx and loved it. So if I were to go to the dealer and ask for leather they can actually do something?? Would they get me like new seats or something??

They dont do them at the dealership but they will get you going in the right direction. Just tell them you are interested in getting leather seats from the Mitsubishi Certified Leather program.

I believe they use Roadwire. http://roadwiremclp.com/

I do not believe they get you new seats, but instead reupholster yours. I've been wanting to do this myself. I really like the two toned and they have colored stitching as well. But I have some large purchases I need to do for the house first. Maybe next year or so I will get it done.

I'm sure you can find it cheaper if you price around. But the SL package is $1800. If you were to finance this with the car at 4% interest for 6 years you would pay almost $2300. This doesnt include the additional cost in taxes either since the overall cost of the vehicle is taxed during purchase.

Leather matters so much to me. You wont believe how hard it was to find a evo 9 that was Red, had a sunroof and had leather.
