Reliability.
The most common issue I see with reliability on the forums is the desire for instant gratification. People who run big turbo kits on stock blocks, stage 1 clutches with 500 wtq, etc... Owners want the high horsepower numbers, but instead of saving and doing the build properly, they just do what they can afford at the time. Instead of building the motor, then throwing on a turbo kit, they do the opposite. You must build reliability into the car as you modify it. There are plenty of properly built 600 whp cars on the forum that are very reliable and there are probably just as many 300 whp cars that are not.
A few mods/tips that will help the overall health of the car are:
Proper fluids and changing them at the proper intervals
Oil Catch Can
Spoolin' Up (or other) COP
Allow the car to properly warm up and a Turbo Timer (for those who believe in them)
There is a ton of information on the forums regarding basic maintenance and how to keep an Evo reliable.
