Why did you choose an Evo over an STi??

Just a simple answer, no extensive confab necessary...

The Evo Is so sexy, and def very timeless

 

Performance

 

Rarity - Real STI's and STI wanna be's all over the place. 5 evo 8-9's in my area and 20 billion STI's. Can't make a regular lancer from 2003-2007 look like an evo, but a base WRX can be made to look like an STI.

 

Bullet proof engine and rarity.Handling,interior.Limited cost for good performance.Super comfy Recaro seats.Brembo brakes.

 

Agreed. This has never been discussed and it's bound to generate a number of truly thoughtful replies.

 

Coming from a two door turbo mitsu, evo was a no brainer for me. Plus reliability and mod friendly.

 

I guess it takes a gajillion of these same threads, yet people don't still realize that the Evo and Sti are not competitors. For example there use to be Evo vs Sti shoot outs, except the Evos always stomped the Sti's. So they stopped holding the Blood Baths.

 

I could see where the spark plugs go. Not like that boxer sorcery.

 

I chose the evo because I wanted to challenge myself with a crappier version of the STi.

 

Accelerates like a bike with excellent performance and handling around $30K!

 

Rare. Like korizmo said, around here there's only a handful of evos. STI's everywhere.

When I bought the evo I had 2 other options to go with. Evo, 03 Cobra, STI. I live in new England it was going to be a daily so I needed something AWD and then rarity came into play. Evo all day

 

I wanted one after watching jacky chans " who am I" when I was like 15??? Then my buddies parents bought his spoiled a$$ one and he let me drive his. Then two years ago I was finally able to purchase my own. Been living off top ramen and bagle bite just to keep modding it!
