why am i getting fuel in my oil?

why am i getting fuel in my oil?

I have a evo 8 with your basic bolt ons...

-injen intake and upper and lower pipes

-evo 9 BOV

- upgraded intercooler

-hallman MBC

-wallbro 255

-880cc injecters

-272 kellfod cams

-full 3" exhaust down pipe and 02 housing as well

-aem whideband

-boost, volts, and exhaust temp gauges as well.

-ARP HEAD STUDDS

-MEGUN RACING HEADER


so any ideas on why im getting fuel in my oil...

What are you AFRs? Have you done a compression test? Any color smoke coming out the tail pipe?

My dsm and my evo have the same issue i also have no clue how that happens and only reason i know the fuel is in there cuz you can smell it if u pull out the dip stick

my AFRs at idol are around 14/15 and when im in it there staying around 10/11.
i know there is fuel in the oil for one i can smell it and 2 i changed the oil and after a day of driving the oil looks to be 1/4in over full on the dipstick....and im positive after the oil change that it was right on the full mark.

^^I wouldn't rely on oil level as an indicator. As oil warms up/cools down, the level will change a bit.

i know this, this is after it has sat all night. check it in the morning and thats the level. also i noticed when i get on it it pops my dipstick up a lil bit, whats the deal with this?

Uh oh... ive heard this story before... u may have bad piston rings dude cuz thats why ur dipstick is popping up cause compression is getting past your rings. Which unburnt fuel could be also getting past them too. Hence the fuel in your oil. My friend with an evo X had the same thing and (overcharging) AMS did a compression test but i dont know what they found which doesnt help a bit i know. Btw, ams in chicago doesnt seem to care about evos anymore... off topic tho sorry..
