New to the evo, and wanted to know about all the issues

So I learned that the fuel pump relay is bad, that I need to clamp the fuel regulator hose, make sure transfer case is not overfilled, don't drive hard before turning off the car, warm up before driving, no wot in fifth or below 3 k rpm, no hard lefts on half a tank of gas, Am I missing anything else that I should do to save me in the long haul?

If driven hard, let it idle for about a minute before shutting off. Zip tie the regulator hose. Definitely warm up before driving, but thats every car not just the evo.

I have never heard of the hard lefts on half tank. Guessing it causes the pump to suck in air? The car was built to be raced at a track, I dont know how much truth this holds.

WOT in 5th is bad if you are making power. On a stock car I dont think it makes a difference.

The fuel pump relays were changed after 2011 and up. IF yours fails then change it, but from what I have heard from other members and the stealership is that they actually updated in the 2011+ models.

There is also the clutch restrictor pill. If kracka chimes in you will understand better what it does.

Never heard of the gas thing... Don't think thats a big deal really. You forgot about the weak diff pins though

Oh and my 2010 model had all new relays in it when I bought it so I think just the 2008's had that problem.

I thought they fix the center diff pins on the 2012 with some kind of glue, would diff pins fail under normal driving?
