Evo 5 upgrade advise

Hi

Mechanics of a car l can admit l am hopeless with so l thought joining a forum would be my best bet to learn some stuff!

l have an Evo 5, currently has a catback exhaust, Excedy stage 1 race clutch, digital boost controller, GFB bov and l have just bought the apexi power fc but haven't installed it yet.

l will be buying a new fuel pump to install when l do my power fc install. My question is for my next mod what would be my best option? l was thinking about upgrading my exhaust headers? Is this a smart option? If so what brands should l be looking at, there are a whole range on ebay for sale that are both cheap and expensive but l am unsure which are good or not. The car is only for street use.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

personally not a fan of power fc , the stock 5 ecu can be mapped easily and can have some extra mods with ceddy modded rom . walbro fuel pump is essential id also change the fuel filter in the eng bay bolted to lhs chassis leg . if your buying a manifold dont buy cheap go for jmf/c -tec /fullrace / toxic fab to name a few , cams are also a good upgrade ,gsc1 being popular .

Thanks!, l was looking through the forums and some people say you can get pretty decent power from the stock manifold. Would it be a better option to keep the stock manifold and just upgrade the front pipe, dump pipe and cat ?
