New guy with forum questions...

I have been a member of this site for a long time and I just recently purchased an Evo. I've got some things I want to list for sale on the site, but you have to have a minimum of 15 posts in order to list anything to sale. Trouble is, sometimes when I post it helps my post count and other times it doesn't. I have made probably 20 or 25 posts, but my count only says 2. Is there a minimum number of characters that a post has to have in order to be "legit"?

Right now I have more questions than answers, so I don't really feel I should just bust up in a bunch of people's posts to offer advice on something I don't feel totally comfortable with. I am however, in the process of performing some upgrades on my car, so maybe I should start a build thread or something?

I haven't been the best at posting in forums over the last few years, I'm more of a reader than a poster.

Any advice anyone could give would be great!

-Vincent

Only certain sections contribute to your post count. Newbie/show n shine/off topic among others don't add to your post count.

This is to stop people upping their post count with posts like "nice ride brah."

Enjoy your new car.

Thanks for replying! This makes sense I suppose. I guess I need to start some kind of build thread then explaining where I'm at with my car then. Thanks!
