96 Eclipse w/ EVO VIII(4G63) Swap
Yeah no ****. Some pics.
This swap is so uncommon. I've seen maybe about 5 pictures on the internet of 4 different cars.
I know it needs to be a RS/GS 95-99 eclipse.
The front axles have to be fabbed. Tranny needs to be strenghten. Running 2 ecus and 2 wiring harnesses.
There was a whole write up. The only good starting point is the evo 7-9 4g63 mounts right on the default motor mounts.
Seems like a ****on of work but a pretty fun project

My Pics of swap
I have down with the flu and no energy for online anything....
It starts, runs, drives, ... but me and the shop that did the swap should have spent more time on the writen contract side of the swap.
I told them to deliver a daily driver with all the working comforts from a stock evo/eclipse
They dragged their feet, ran into issues, and I had to just give up and pick my ride up over a year after I dropped off the car and cash, and it still has work to be done
So my project/car's name is Frankie, as in Frankenstien

Next on my list would be to finish the exhaust, ... so I want a down pipe 3", and then I will use custom pipe to connect to my (no one laugh) 2008 350Z muffler I have added to the rear of Frankie, ...
I really like the sound and the look is great, I just had to cut the floor pan out, I fab'd new hangers, and mod'd a 2G(B) rear bumper with a 350Z lower rear bumper and it looks great and fits perfect.
I will post some pics of my little mad man design, lol

I am a TOTAL NEWB, so I was very happy with my stock 420a but the thermostat housing broke, so I called around and jumped on DSM forums asking for a good shop to do a rebuild. I was told to chk w/ CMS in Houston.
My wife came home and said what makes a car PSSST, ... I said BOV cause a turbo and she said do that to the car sooo I called the shop asked for a rebuild and boost, they suggested the 4G63 SWAP, I had the extra money and nothing to throw at it and NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL I WAS GETTING INTO, so the build started
Im in SA now and the shop is in H-Town, and the build did not go as planned
I hope to be back in the fast cash biz and hook up with a strong shop to fix what the other shop did and failed to deliver on.
