09 Cobalt SS to Evo x

I am looking at getting away from my 09 Cobalt SS and have been looking at Sti's and Evo x's. My question is can I get the numbers I want from an Evo x, right now I am 314whp & 374tq with just bolt on's and a tune. I want to get to these number safe and with just bolt on's.

Please let me know if this is doable, thanks.

Yup.

Intake, testpipe/HFC, catback, upper intercooler pipe, 3 port boost solenoid and a tune will get you around there.

Not as much torque though

Ya I was thinking I would lose some tq because of the awd, but will drive train take that power safely?

Drivetrain will be fine with that power.

Stock turbo and those number? Jesus, those Cobalts are more stout than I thought. Yes you could probably put similar numbers down with about 4k-5k (rough estimate/flame suit on)

Yep with a stock turbo, the only thing seems to fail is the clutch.

I am more of a strait line racer, but I really want a awd car for the winters here in PA. I don't do track days or auto cross, just looking for a good all around car that is mod friendly. But at the same time I want something nicer then my SS.

I think an Evo X would feel like a major upgrade.... Just make sure to go test drive one, knowing you can easily add about 45whp easy as pie.

Plus the stock sound system with the SS package is simply amazing for stock. The wireless key is also something I don't believe the Cobalt has.

I ran into a twin-charged cobalt SS last night with a light layer of snow on the ground and simply walked away as if he wasn't moving.

Traction is more important than power.... and the Evo has nearly infinite traction. I think you'll be hooked after the test drive.

I don't really want to race in the snow lol, but I want to drive a Evo and Sti before I buy. I really want the sight and sound package and maybe the leather and sunroof as well.
