Well after waiting forever I bought a evo. I always wanted one and loved reading the evo vs sti shootouts. But after having bad luck with the my past 4 gs and gst eclipses I started thinking about going with a sti. Well I found a bone stock 03 lighting yellow 120k mile evo and bought it from the orginal owner.

I came home from work and told my wife "I found a evo I want to buy"
Her "You don't need another car plus what happened to the last 4 mits you had"
Me "Its not the same plus I need a 4 door car because its a pain to put John in his car seat." my new born son in to my lifted f250.
Her "What about your other cars"
Me "There all 2drs and are toys. plus its cheap for what it is."
Her "At least his car seat will match the evos" He has the recaro child seat.

I love my wife. I always get what I want.

I plan on compounding buffing and waxing this week end. If I cant bring the paint back I might just order one of those dip your ride kits in flat white pearl or monster green.

 

I really wanted a blue one if not then red or white. I really didn't want black and didn't care for silver or grey because just about every evo you see is the same. The yellow really is growing on me too.

 

Oh i love my black, especially the purple specs in it...but almost every evo is silver, bleh...some black will make your car stand out beautifully, carbon hood?

 

I would love to do carbon hood and trunk. Maybe more. I have been thinking about plasti dipping some till then or carbon rap.
Don't get me wrong they look slick in black but almost every one around here is black and they just dont stand out like the red or blue. My 3000gt vr4 is black.

 

Yeah, also a pain in the *** to keep clean/scratch free. I hated yellow, but it grew on me big time. I don't like BBY but electric blue is clean. The reds I've seen are FADED bad from sun damage.

 

It's all about the White, sir. But nice find! And yellow isn't half bad once you get used to it. Black or carbon fiber accents will really make it pop!

 

the evo does look good in white, im thinking about how flat white pearl kind of like the caddy white but flat would look on the evo. My f250 is white tho.
