How long have you Driven a modded EVO
How long have you driven your evo with mods and how many times have you had a problem? Just kind of curious because my turbo went at 4k with just and ETS intake and no tune.

My car was a daily driver for: 101,000 miles. First started modding it at the 4,000 mile mark. The car, or the parts NEVER failed me. You can see my mod list below. No longer a daily driver these days...
Bought my car back in 2004 with 13,500 miles (approx) and installed mods in my sig at 15,000 miles (approx) about 2-3 months later. 148K miles with my mods and still going.
Non-mod related Issues:
Problems I've had have been my balance shaft belt shredded taking out the crank sensor trigger plate and CAS and creating a premature timing belt replacement. OEM radiator top sprung a leak-replaced with aftermarket OEM style unit, heater control knob busted from the common 'hard to turn' symptom-fixed with upgraded gears & cable, a couple of dash bulbs went out on me-fixed and driver's Recaro seat busted the side bolster piece so it is not as snug as it was when I purchased her. Typical wear everywhere else for a DD with this many miles. Pads, rotors, tires, oil and drive train fluids, etc.....
Mod-related Issues:
Only modded related issues I've experienced have been my Vishnu Cam gears wearing down from approx 148K miles of use....What I mean is the actual teeth wore down creating a smaller diameter on each cam gear allowing my timing belt to jump and bending several exhaust valves in the process....luckily I heard it all during start up so it was not catastrophic. Rebuilt the head with stainless steel exhaust valves and the usual stuff and purchased a set of used OEM cam gears for now and did another timing belt change while I was down there. Only other issue is a poor idle. Something I've experienced since day 1 of my Vishnu modding experience. Both intake and exhaust Vishnu cam gears were at -3, -3. I can tell the difference in power going back to stock gears on my HKS cams.
Just remembered my Vishnu Standard exhaust cracked at the weld where the resonator is and the HFC that came with it went out on my less than 100K. That's it.
I would recommend all of you using aftermarket cam gears to keep an eye on them if you have high mileage on them...like me. I'll take pictures to show you what I'm talking about. There is an actual 'lip' on the backside of my Vishnu cam gears that shows how much it wore out.
*EDIT - My car is my DD and has been since day 1.
