I think I've asked this before but don't think I got the answer, how much does it cost to get the clutch replaced?

As I tell everybody that is looking for an Evo - they are out there. I bought my 05 MR with 21K for a little over $20K. It's not impossible, but it will be hard. I would considering expanding your traveling a little bit so you have a better chance of finding what you are looking for.

Yep, the area plays a huge factor. In my area it seems Evo's are going for a much higher price then in other areas. And in my area the selection is very limited, especially in that $20k range. If I was looking for a low mileage Evo for around $20k, I would almost definitely have to expand my search area. Most likely to a different state.

I just bought my 9 MR FOR 19.5k. It has 80k miles, but was EXTREMELY well taken care of and never modded, plus came with an extra set of SE wheels (MR wheels have Blizzaks). Bought it on this forum actually.
Blue book in my area was around what I paid, which is high for the miles in my eyes, but you wouldnt know it without looking.
I'd rather have an 80k all stock and taken care of car then a 40k on its 3rd engine and aftermarket trans.

They don't want to let them go, but the ones that are let go are usually the ones that are headaches. It's hard to find a true, crazy clean Evo now a days. They aren't very popular in my area like other cars are. I got SO lucky with my car, but I also traveled over 600 miles in a day to buy it. I also think people jump at the first one they see and then get into it way over their heads and regret it.

I flew from WV to NY to get my BMW and drove it home and if I find the right EVO I'll do the same with it. There really aren't many around here at all. I have only seen 3 on a lot, one of which was back in 03 and the other two were MR X's at the local Mitsu dealer.

Before I bought mine, I would never see any Evo's. Now that I'm meeting more people I actually know a handful of people that have 8 or 9's but they are all garage queens, kept clean, etc. BUT they are still very rare about my area. I only see about 2 that are daily driven.
