I was wondering does the outside parts like bumpers, sides and aero package come pre-painted? I'm asking because I thought they did and some people have been telling me otherwise. Thanks.

 

They don't. I've heard of one dealership sending them in Wicked White for 8's and 9's, if you're lucky and have WW no painting needed. But that's not the case usually. You'll have to get them painted

 

No they don't come pre-painted, because they risk being damaged in transit and have to be painted again.

Most new body panels (hood, door skins, quarter panels, fenders, what-have-you) will come with like a black primer coat that will not react well with primer/base/clear very well. Most new bumpers are black bare plastic.

Either way, new panel or bumper, both require prep and paint time.
