Thinking of getting an Evo 8!
I'm thinking of throwing up the keys of my Audi S4 for a '03 Evo VIII at a dealership. It's used but it has a hefty price of $25,000CAD which enters the Evo IX area. The Evo IS stock and I have already looked at the faqs page of what I should be checking first. Whether it has been that way or whether it was simply reverted to stock. The dealership hasn't replied to my e-mail about how many kms (put on with 0kms) it has but it does have an aftermarket alpine radio system. I was wondering. If it IS a clean and stock-kept Evo VIII.
How many kms/miles should it have?

Mileage can vary widely, what really matters is how it was maintained. There's some guy on here with like 250k on his evo and it's still going strong, so they can last if they're well taken care of. I'd always be a little more careful of an evo at a dealership, since a lot of people trade them in when they get over their heads with issues. Definitely have a third party do the inspection, don't take the dealers word.
The more pressing questin, though - why the eff would you consider an 03 for 25k? That's double what that car is worth, in all likelihood.

Nah, don't do it. Way too much for an 8. Get a IX or X for that price with fairly low mileage.
Edit: If you mean 108K KM then that's roughly 70K Miles. Although that's pretty good for an 8, it's still not worth the $25K. Assuming the car is stock and is damn near immaculate inside and out, it would probably for for 17-20K in my opinion and 20K is even pushing it.

That's 25,000 Canadian right? Correct me if I'm wrong but the few times that I have seen Evos from Canada for sale on here, the prices were quite a few thousand dollars more than what you'd expect to pay here. Sorry cant really help you out whether that's a good price or not but hopefully some other people from Canada will chime in and let you know.
Definitely hard to find 8's and 9's in Canada so they are priced a bit higher than normal but this dealer is definitely over-pricing. The interior is mint but it needs a new transmission or rebuild.. They would let it go as is so I think i'm going to wait it out.

For an 03, the miles are still "fairly" low - but I wouldn't pay that much money EVER. Doesn't matter if it's stock, never modded, never in an accident, etc. I paid less for my MR with barely anything for miles. What kind of dealership is it at? Sometimes here, when a dealership gets a car that they know can bring them money, they will raise the prices to obscene amounts because they know there is somebody out there that will pay it. I would try to negotiate with the dealership to pay far less than that, if not move on.
Prices for Evo's in Canada are much higher than the states due to rarity and importation. I've seen a few Evo IX's that are completely stock with 66-80k miles on them go for around 25-27k.
