bought a 2008 mr

Just bought a 2008, there seems to be many horror stories about it. Is there a way I can check which tsb/recalls has been done?

Bought it for 26k with 30k miles so it seemed like a no brainer at the dealsership...

Take it to the dealer. Its free anyways to do the recalls. As for tsb's, you have to check that yourself. Also ask for a carfax if its not too late.

Congrats on the purchase. Dont let a few issues scare you away. Remember that this is a forum specifically for this car so of course a list of known issues will be given, but that doesnt mean everyone goes through them. Im not sure I'd call them horror stories either. I would say the main thing youll want to check/replace is the fuel pump relay. Other than that enjoy your new purchase!

I just picked up my first EVO and was told about the fuel pump relay issue. First thing I ordered was the FPR kit.

I'm not going to delete this one (but did catch a lot of your other PW comments). I'm leaving this up to point out that "FPR" usually refers to the fuel-pressure regulator, which is a completely different issue from the fuel-pump relay, but does not the ten seconds required at add a zip-tie.

Yes you can do it yourself. Its basically just replacing some fuses.
