Was just wondering how long can I drive my car with these mods without a tune?

Reason why I am asking is because I am planning on crossing the border to get my tune and the places I plan on going to are 3-5 hour drive so I don't want something happening on the way.

The cai is going to cause you some trouble. Most cai's tell you to get a tune immediately. So it would be best to take it off and put your stock intake back on. And when you get to the shop put the cai back on.

 

It's fine so long as you take her easy. I personally know 2 other people with X's that had basically the same mods and drove from Edmonton to Calgary for tunes. No issues. I wouldnt bother changing back to the stock intake either just to drive there. Waste of time IMO. Stay out of boost and get it tuned!!

 

you'll have CEL for sure, just stay out of boost.

 

Stay out of boost for 4 hours? I don't think I can do that =\ should I just have them install it at the shop?

The rest of the parts are ok to be put on the car while driving?
