Why did you buy evo?
I didn't read any of this thread, nor will I, but...
Note: NO ONE has voted "I love Mitsubishi" and I would bet on the multiple choices not including that either... just... a cool little statistic for y'all

I needed something that I could drive all year around in all conditions. I've always driven something fairly quick, so for me it was a no brainer. Just before I bought mine there was an STI for about the same price, but I didn't seem to fit in it that well. I can't be any happier with my choice. Everyday is like Christmas morning when I walk outside and hop in to my EVO.
I love the way EVOs look, but that wasn't the reason.
I knew there was potential for future modifactions, but that wasn't the reason.
These cars do get a lot of attention, but that wasn't the reason.
The true reason: pure driving enjoyment.
I testdrove a 2003 when they first came out, and had a near religious experience. From that day on, I was completely obsessed with this car. In 2003 I started an 'EVO fund' and finally bought my dream car in late 2005. Every single day I pay homage to the driving gods, for allowing me to hit the roads in this car.
There were other factors involved... but this car... to me... was all about having while fun driving. And so far, I have not been dissapointed.

I bought one because the seller of an MKIV Supra I wanted backed out of the deal
...and since I sold my R1 & my NSX, I was in a rush to pick up another vehicle too, so I ended up w/a EVO MR...
