My First List

Hey guys, long story short, I have a list of things I would like to do, and want your opinions.

First, about me. I had a 09 Lancer GTS (just sold it yesterday) I am selling my bike (hopefully tomorrow) and then picking up a WW GSR '14 either this week, or next. I couldn't resist when I have the opportunity now to make the jump.

Also, what is a good amount of miles to have before I start modding/pushing the car? (this will be my first new car.)

I will be getting $2,000 from a company next week. (I do commercial photography. So I figured that would make a nice start to the process)

Let's begin. I am wanting to hear the turbo and whatnot scream. I also am not going for that much power, I will get an exhaust later on without a doubt, these are just my first to do mods.

Accessport V3
http://www.cobbtuning.com/Mitsubishi...p3-mit-002.htm

TurboSmart Dual Port BOV
http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/T...Off-Valve.html

aFe Stage 2 Air Intake
http://www.evoxparts.com/evoxparts/a...O-X-p-760.html

COBB 1 piece piping
http://www.cobbtuning.com/Mitsubishi...r-p/752540.htm

That leaves me with around $600-$700 to play with, or save up for a set of coils or exhaust.

If you have any other places/or product recommendations please share!

You're already moving on to a faster car. Leave it alone and get used to it for now.

I say get a 2nd pair of wheels and snow tires. Winter is coming.

AWD will make you cocky but, I'm sure you know, summer tires and ice/snow will get you in trouble.

I will probably keep the OEM wheels on for winter tires, then order a nice set of wheels before winter is over with coils and tires for the warmer climates.

Ah, I thought it was UICP, I miss read it.

I have also been thinking of getting a complete short throw system.

Also, I might order coils over winter to drop it and get winter tires before winter.

+1 on waiting to mod. I personally would use this time to enjoy the car in it's stock form. This is also a good idea due to a break in period. If I can do it all over again, I would go 10k then let the mod bug bite

I got mine tuned with almost full bolt ons and E85 when it had about 3500 miles. I traded in my boosted GTS for it and man they're completely different vehicles. The X is such an animal but looking back I'd have to agree with gotkamote and wrxlol. Congrats on the upgrade man!

You can do better with 2k. Don't bother with an upgraded bov or accessort. Get a proper intake, TBE, intercooler+piping. Then save and get a real tune.

Edit-fuel pump also.

also to further help, Try and buy from vendors on this forum. They're constantly on the forums and have great customer service and prices. I have had great experiences with MAPerformance, ETS, STM and Rallysportdirect has been great. Good luck.

I think I will do further research on the AP, I will probably go that route since I am not doing anything extreme. Reason being is I have an opportunity to get it for 100 dollars off their price. So I don't think I will pass that up.
