I just read that post, I bought my 8 a month after that post, the salesman that I used was really into EVO's, he was so excited that I never drove an EVO before and couldn't wait to see my reaction.

He never once mentioned a video or class!

 

When I bought mine in 05, a " trainer" just went over the awd system and why the need to keep the car running before shutting it down after hard driving. Oh yeah, and the hid headlights. I thought it was cool

 

The video should have covered all the necessary phrases you will need for owning one. :
"Yes the wing is stock"
"Yes the seats are stock"
"Yes the brakes are stock"
"Yes that hood vent serves a purpose"

.
.
.
.
"No it's not a Subaru"

 

I wonder if those dealerships that made you sign a waiver also had something in the warranty about voiding your warranty if you drive it over 50 mph
