Well, actually not so new, I own an Evo since 2010 and I registered here in 2012. But I was never very active, for early Evos, Lancer Register forum is more interesting. But now, things have changed, I just bought a X RS.
Let me introcue myself : I am from France and I have this "thing" for the Evos for a long time now. Since 1998 or something like that.
In 2010, I bought my first Evo, a JDM 5 GSR imported from UK.
2 years later, it was sold and replaced by a 6 TME LHD that I still own.
Lately, I wanted to switch for something newer... Well I did not switch at all, I just kept the old one and got a X RS.
Of course, you will see me more often now... we don't have that many X in France
Some pics (bad quality, I am not a professionnal !!!) :
Interior is basic, you will notice that climate control button is there... but not active.
Only modification are the switch for the lamp pod that was fitted on the car :
Same engine as other X :
ABS system is there, but not active :
Pod lamp mounting points and modifications (pod was not coming with the car) :
welcome. Wow the X Rs are truely stripped of everything. They never made it here to the US. The exact opposite is here where Xs outnumber the CT9As. One advantage you have in France is you have access to a lot of Evos that never made it to the US.
I'm more interested in the TME! Post some pictures of that bad boy! I'm an early Evo nut and I chose the IV since they are rare stateside. I'm in Florida.
