Lancer does not equate to half of an Evo. Try maybe, 1/4 of one. Great torque and good looks but it's not a sports car. Never has been, and never will be without more G's than half your fingers on hand. If you're thinking engine and tranny swap, let's not even go THERE

If I had enough money, I woudn't import an Evolution VII. I would go for a Skyline, and then add some EXTREME mods. (Sighs...) The things you can do to a Skyline.

A legalized Skyline costs much more than twice as much as an imported Evo7. Although, I guess these days anything costing above like $1000 gets shoved into the same 'out of reach' category

with a stcker price of 15,500 you get a really nice car at a fraction of the cost an EVO.

You and me both. Everyone else I know would rather get somethin more exotic (Modena's, Lambo's) but for me it's the Skyline R34 Nur-Spec. They are so sexy

Plus with enough mods, it'd just destroy any car on the road.

you cant get it to work like an evo.

you MIGHT be able to make it be faster than some evos (drag wise) if you put a fat enough turbo and you can somehow put that power to the floor

but, no...a lancer is no where close to an evo. sorry if i bursted anyones bubble.

I went from an '03 Lancer O-Z Rally to an Evo IX, and to answer your question in short, "No".

Different animals entirely, only sharing the same Lancer tag (and unibody construction?). I loved my Lancer, but it's only a small fraction of what the Evo is and can be...
