I need some advise on what size of rims i should put on my lancer es.

if you go with the lok profile 18 you could risk hitting the rim when you hit a pot hole or something

I have 18's
I love them.
just got to be careful with rubbing issues.

things you might want to consider

1) do you think spending another 800 on tire is worth it
I personallly think the stock tire is better than most high performance on the market

2)look or performance
18" is better looking but 17" will perform better

3) i wouldn't worry about hitting the curve or demaging your wheel with a 18". If you hit the curve 18 or no 18, you will scretch it.

a lot of people use 18" and there is no rubbing problem

nope, I don't rub at all.
18 x 7.5 with a 45 mm offset.
I haven't dropped my car though.
