Do u think mitsubishi would allow this?

I think my clutch is dead but im not sure if its the clutch. Do u think if i take my car to the dealer and ask them to check to see if the clutch is dead, if they take the stock clutch out and its dead, u think they will let me give them an aftermarket one to replace it with considering the stock clutch is already out? Or do u think they will charge me for it.

Basically i would have them remove the stock clutch and ask them to replace it with an aftermarket one after they take the stock out one.

Also. I want to get an Clutchmaster stage 3 clutch for 600. Or should i go for a exede twin plate for 1000? I really dont need the power of the xede cuz my car wont ever see 350+ wheel horse power. And the clutchmaster can handle 550 anyway. What do u guys think?

i'm sure mitsu will install it for you, they will just red tag your car so they aren't liable for any warranty issues afterthat due to the aftermarket clutch.... they may however charge you for the install seeing how they won't warranty the clutch to begin with.

Second if you don't need a heavy clutch don't get one, just get something with a moderate pedal and a disk that will take abuse and heat. Something with a ceramic or kevlar material should be fine... you can infact add a different disk to the stock pressure plate you you'd like maybe you could wook that out with the dealer so that you can retain a warranty.... Worth a shot

Some dealers will install a clutch of your choice, but you can consider your drivetrain warranty voided. If you're modding your car to get 350 WHP, it's probably a foregone conclusion that won't warranty the car anyway.

I agree! Mitsu dealers will install your aftermarket clutch, but for warranty issues, these aftermarket clutch will void your warranty if anything goes wrong with your drivetrain after installation.

No. The disk is the problem - the factory disk is intentionally weak (i.e. less grippy) to reduce driveline shock; and aftermarket one is stronger and may lead to driveline damage (including engine, albeit unlikely).
