Just how much whining and grinding should come from the front end. i hear from doing some searchs on this forum that some is normal but i am having a difficult time determining just how much normal is. the worst is when i am going very slow coming to a complete stop -and has doing to do with the brakes. some people have ridden in my car and said that seems normal for a 'race car' , others have suggested i have it checked out. other than that i love the car, best handling car i have ever driven and close to the fastest ! . thx to all in advance.

 

Its normal. The brakes squeel alot. Theres alot of decel noise from the AWD and yes the turbo whines like a beast. BTW..what part of Tucson are you from? I used to live right at Sunrise and Swann then over off of Oracle and McGee. I miss it out there. I used to take my SE-R up to Mt. Lemon quite a bit. I used to love driving that road late at night.

Anyway dont worry too much about the noises and what not. Its what makes the EVO such a great car. Enjoy.

 

I live mid town . pima and countryclub. mt lemmon is great but they are widening many portions of it right now, it will be awesome when it is done . thanks for the advice .

 

Damn..my favorite part was when it narrowed down to a two lane towards the top.
