i think 9000 rpms would be a problem.

No no no not 9000rpm!! dont think the engine stock can rev that high due to the limiter at 7800rpm and fuel cut is somewhere in there too. I normally shift at 7200-7400rpm.

Your boost is going to taper around 7K. If you have an MBC, and a tune, it will hold a little longer and little stronger, but otherwise there isn't much after 7K.

If your car is stock you'll want to shift right around that 7K mark. You should be able to 'feel' when it's time to shift though; eventually it comes naturally. Go take some runs at the track and test shifting at different points. Every car has it's own sweet spot.

Hope that helps a little.

question back to you, i think i know the answer from what iv been tryn to figure out to do my self are you still all stock and do u have any boost controler?

if you are still all stock i beleve that red lines 7000 and at red line with stock ecu and setup you should get about 14psi boost, and u get around 20 psi boost between 3000 and 6000 if i rember what iv read correctly my numbers are probably off a bit but think thats what ur tryn to say and its not a boost cut off at 9k rpm i beleve its ur fuel cut off that ur hitting. hope that helps.

if youre shifting at 9k, theres def gonna be a problem. ive never have seen, nor would i ever want to see someone push their lancer that high. boost should taper off between 6800 and 7200. ask the pros tho. roadrace where ya at?

Not sure what you should shift at for a stock Evo, but with a Vishnu stage 1+ I shift it at 7200 rpms and launch at about 5500 on a stock clutch.
