New Evo Owner
Wassup yall
Just got the Evo over Memorial weekend. It is pre-owned. The Honda dealership got it as a trade-in--and they didn't want to spend any $ on it--so they were trying to get rid of it (for a low low price). The car was in very good conditions with 9k miles on it. Only signs of abuse (by previous owner) was uneven tire wear on one of the tires--mainly due to incorrect tire inflation (underinflated). Those Advans looked like hell--and one of the tires had a bad bald spot--you could see the steel threads and sh%#t. Anyway, I'm very happy with my Evo. Bought brand new Falken FK-451s and the ride is now very smooth, quiet--and not to mention sweet. Plus they are good on the rain also. I highly recommend these tires.
The only beef that I have is with a local Mitsu dealer. The car only came with one set of keys (including remote). I tried to get another set--just in case--from this local dealer and (Whoaa!!)--this shysty dealership wanted--get this: 1) $40 for the plain key itself; 2) $79 for the programming of this key (they said it has a special chip in it); and 3) (in addition to all this madness) $50 to $100 for the remote extra.
Other than this. No other minor problems with the Evo. Presently I'm using it as my commuter car and the S2000 for weekends only. No future mods for now. This car is just a joy to drive--its a tiger on the highway. Yall take care. I'm out.

I'll try to be a good citizen and obey all traffic laws and traffic signals.

Congrats on the purchase...
When I got an additional spare key for my Evo the dealer wanted 90 bucks to program it to the car. After I laughed in their face I went home, read the manual and did it myself in less than 5 minutes.

Wow! Thanks for the info man. I gotta get me a manual somewhere. I'll have to check on E-bay. Knowing the weasels at the dealership--they'd probably want $100 or so for it. Mitsu
seriously needs a "customer service" attitude adjustment--or this will be the last Mitsu product I'll ever buy.
But thanks anyway.
