The Knob behind the Gas Pedal
Throttle stop. Keeps stress off of the throttle cable. Some of these have been known to prevent wide open throttle by not allowing the pedal to fully open the butterfly on the T-body. Best NOT to remove it though. Dont know what to tell you about tightening it.
*if the vehicle has "fly by wire" throttle, and has no throttle cable, the knob/peg is there to prevent over rotating the electronic throttle sensor.
As I just got my EVO 4 weeks ago, and 3 of those it has been in the shop, I havent checked to see if it has a throttle cable or if it's all electronic (fly by wire)
