i went shopping for an Evo. So I went to a dealership and they had 5000 mark up on an 03 and 6000 on 04s. Whats up with that. I got the dealer to go to sticker on the 03 then I told then 27k out the door and they said no way. On top of that every dealer i called in a 20 mile radius said they would not go near invoice. Whats up with that. Am i being too ambitious?

where the hell are you? if we knew, others might be able to suggest dealers they had good luck with.

also, how legitimate of a buyer do you appear to be when showing up? are you 18? wearing a t-shirt and ripped jeans?

if you don't look like a buyer of a $30k vehicle, they won't waste much time on you. but no, you're not being ambitious. many people have paid $28k or less for unsold '03s recently, myself included.

 

I'm in CA. Pasadena actually. I was dressed shabby but I am a chemist and I don't where good clothes. That is a good point. I should wear nicer cloths if I'm going to buy a 30K vehicle. I appreciate the suggestion. Also is 27K otd the door to low. Also what are some good dealerships in my area

You can get it for that low so don't get rip off! I'd go for a use one if I didn't already own one

 

They tried that 5000 mark up bulls**t on me... I had to go to another dealer. They are just being too proud of that car because they probably won't get another.

 

Don't pay it. Buy from a dealer outside of the LA area if need be.
