I feel lame asking all these questions, but I want my new Lancer to kick ***...
1) How do you remove the factory head unit, and how long do it take?
2) I found a good deal on Audiobahn subs and enclosures on ebay, and I was wondering if anyone knew how good their products are?

From what I read so far, you can't go wrong when it comes to Audiobahn. They're very nice looking and apparently very good quality. For good deals, you might want to look at http://www.etronics.com .
The head unit is fairly easy to take out. Look in the "How to" forum and you'll find detailed instructions.

Answer: audiobahn makes pretty good stuff, but you should read up on product specs on a wide band of dif brands. You should look into Nak, Eclipse and a few others before you run out to a department store any buy the first thing off the shelf. Just my .2

From what I have heard about audiobahn is they are really loud and great for SPL but not that great when it comes to crisp clear sound. I haven't personally used them though but thats what my friends who have used them said.
A dual voice coil 4 ohm sub can have either a 2 or 8 ohm final impedance:
If you wire the coils up in parallel (+/- to +/- to amp) you get 2 ohm.
If you wire the coils up in series (+ amp to coil 1 +, coil 1 - to coil 2 +, coil 2 - to amp -), you get 8 ohm.
If your amp does max power at 2 ohm and you have a dual voice coil 4 ohm sub, you can get your max power from 1 sub...That's the reason there's dual coils...
Contrary to popular belief, a single coil sub will go LOUDER given the EXACT SAME POWER if compared to a dual voice coil sub because the cone assembly is lighter.
That said, if you have an amp that does max power at 1 ohm (like most 1000W Class D amps), and you want max power from 2 subs, you need 2 Dual Voice Coil 4 ohm subs (parallel all around).
I have a dual 2 ohm sub, so I get 1 ohm from 1 sub. (yay 1500W to a 250W 10" sub
)

alright i'll walk you tru it, first pull off the knobs, then unscrew the screws behing the 2 outer knobs... after pulling off the piece of the dash, you will then see 2 big screws surrounding the HU, simply take them out and ur done.
if you really wnat to know about audiobahn, my opinion is this. dont buy it. i have been around this stuff for about 5 years now(im sure thats not as long as some) and have found that audiobahn is not good at all. the only thing you will wnat to use audiobahn for is looks. their products look great, but that is because they are a chrome company, they just happen to make speakers. audiobahn main business is chrome. if you want good sounding products for the best money go with memphis. i also like kicker and jl audio. these are all opinions though. i just suggest to stay away form audiobahn.
JL audio in my opinion is the best for sound quality memphis and Boston are also decent Im not a fan of RF, Orion, kicker, JBL, audiobahn, or sony stuff.
For speakers Focal, Infinity and JL are my top 3 picks.
As for your box it totally depends on what subs you get and what type of music you listen to and the setup you have. If your not sure exactly what your doing I recomend having a shop build a box for you thats catered to your listening needs. Thats what I did and I'm glad I spent the extra couple bucks cause it sounds awesome.

I'm surprised you included infinity in there...ANYTHING from infinity is just as bad as audiobahn ( a little better on their subs, they have OK SQ)...
As far as subs/SQ goes, Unless you want to spend a lot, get a JL....If you want to spend a lot, get a JL ...
