30000 Mile Service: How Much Does it Cost?

I called Cub Shaver in IL last week. I had 32K on my Evo and I wanted to get an oil change. I also asked about the 30K service. The service guy mentioned 3-4 fluids that needed to be changed and he said the total would be $875 .

For those of you with more than 30K miles: Where did you have the service performed and how much did it cost?

not even close to 30k, but i got the scheduled service paid for on my 04. as for the problem, i ran in to it with my last car a vw. i called on of the bigger dealers in portland or, and they wanted 750 for the 20k service. i called another smaller dealer, and they wanted 350 to do the same service. i had to drive another 40 miles or so, but so what. call around, leave the state if you got to. good luck.

30k service is usually

Change all fluids:

trans/ front diff
transfer case
rear diff
coolant
engine oil

they'll also rotate tires and clean and check if you need brakes.
top off washer fluid and i/c sprayer , lube your door hinges and maybe a car wash which I don't recommend ( Brushes scarches your paint )

They will probably sell you an Alignment w/c I would do $70 - $90 .

If your trying to save money. I'd get a couple of knowledgable friends over and help you do some of the services that you think you or your friends know how to do.

good luck !!

To be honest with you dude the 30K Tune up is something alot of evo owners have already done before this tune up comes and this maybe there second time at this point or more. The cost well lets see the oil will be somewhere around $70, the fluid for the tranny, transfer case, and rear diff is around $150-200. Coolant which the may do a flush is some where around $100-200. Some of this will not include labor so there's a nother 100-200. yeat that's about right.

Last time doing most of this my self cost 75 bucks and a day of easy labor...Minus the tools at the time I didn't have and I'm glad I bought as I will need them again and more tools are always good.
