Having issues deciding whick ic

Ok I am having issues deciding on the 3" or 3.5"? I spoke with Tom briefly on AIM and he is saying a 3" will be fine. Since he makes them I have no reason to doubt him

At this point I have every bolt + cams. I have no plans to go any larger than a 30r. I do run race gas often with high boost and also track the car. I know there IC will help me on both. Holding of the heatsoak and then being able to keep cool under high boost situations. I was tuning the car on C12 a few weeks ago and it was a pain with the stock ic and heatsoak.

It seems for my use the 3" will be more than enough but I am thinking I will be kicking myself later for not getting the 3.5". Input is greatly needed here. I can never decide on anything

I just order the 3.5" IC yesterday from ETS along with some other goodies. I also didn't want to be kicking myself later down the line with the 3" IC.

The good general rule for deciding between 3" and 3.5" is whether or not you ever plan to exceed 500whp. If the answer is no, then the 3" will be all you need for the life of your EVO. If you think you might want to go bigger later on, then it won't hurt anything for you to run the 3.5" in the meantime as it works awesome on even the stock turbos. If you have specific questions about a setup for your goals make sure to post, PM, E-mail, call, smoke signal, something so we can help you out with the decision

I ordered the 3" FMIC kit but for the price difference and not having to upgrade later maybe the 3.5 is the one for you. We all know how things snowball, 300 becomes 400 and then 500 etc etc.

You should go ahead and get the 3.5" core if you track your car (road course); that way you wont have to deal with any heatsoak
