ETS Intake question...

Tom - I was wondering if the ETS intake can be straightened out some so the cone filter sits in the stock airbox location.

I realize that some cars have the IC sprayer bottle or ACD, but is there some way it can be made to sit up clean.

It would look much cleaner and closer to the fender may help with less heat issues messing with the MAF and air temps

Also, I wonder if that may help with MAF readings....

Lets discuss!

I think the intake pipe is the shape it is to eliminate turbulence inside the intake.
And throw the maf off.

We build our EVO intake with as gradual bend as possible (and just one bend instead of two) for the smoothest air passage. We could add a second bend, but that would then increase the cost of the intake system for no additional power gains. Because we're all about maximizing bang for our customers' buck, I don't see making that change. Doing that would also put a bend right after the MAF where there is a straight section in our current design. In the case of our T3 turbo kits, building a single bend intake system is not feasible for clean fitment, so we build in two bends with the widest possible radius in both to keep flow high. We're always trying to build the best of everything but if it means keeping the rest, symmetry is the first to be sacrificed in the name of performance, fitment and pricing

One bend is better and my ETS intake is awesome. Great parts and fitment.

I personally think the angled intake looks sick.

ETS, when I get home, I'm most likely gonna order one. Can I get it w/o the DV return pipe on it?
