Who knows when it'll come to the US...

i would think when mitsu builds a car they have the car ready for all markets

japana , europe, north america at the same time since now EVO is no longer a japan / uk car anymore they might design the car global friendly so one model to fit all markets

so i wont be suprised to see the car around march then again if they want to push out more 8 they'll release a bit later like then end of summer or fall

It'll probably come out next fall, since the 05's just came out it would be stupid to release another one so soon here in the US.

Are you sure? If the X is due for 2007 then when would the IX be? I guess that everything would be pushed back?

in the past the new evo's were always around 12month earlier on the japanese market than on european mainland! the VIII was 4-6month earlier in the us than in europe so forget about that the car release date will be all around the world at the same time!

They're not going to tell you. Plus, they have more pressing issues at the moment.

well the 9 wasnt shown at the LA auto show and no talks of it. so i am gonna guess next year 2007 model for this MIVEC engine - with low 300 hp. this will give them some time to work out the engine kinks
-or they could just throw the engine into the evo 8 and call it the 9 and add a new front / rear bumper.

hell 2006 (rumor) the new body style eclipse will have an optional supercharged engine with 250-260hp.

some pics of the new eclipse look - http://www.superhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172512

I'm sticking with the fall 2005 (MY06) prediction for the Evo IX. If it doesn't come out then, there's no time to sell it before the X is due.

Just talk with the Vice President Cutter's Mitsubishi in Hawaii.

He told me the car should be in the US around 2005

Uh...that's not really all that specific dude. In my experience that's generally how executives get around questions they don't know the answer to...vague, safe, non-specific answers.
