Ok... I'm still deployed to Iraq and my wife got a call today from our Mitsu dealer telling her that they were only getting 2 MR's, they could not order another one for me, and that she should come and try to get one of the two that they have coming in. Also that the MR's will be a limited production run so this is my only chance. I haven't heard anything about limited production. I think Mitsubishi is going to make as many as they can sell! They have to with their current finacial woes. Does it sound to anyone like someone is trying to jack up the price and hope my wife will fold because she knows I want one so badly? This is ridiculous!!! I think I'm going to start looking out of State for another dealer.

The IX MRs are definitely not limited production (like the VIIIs). Don't feel pressurized into paying more than you have to. Also worth remembering, the Evo X is only a year away and will be debuted at the Tokyo Auto Salon (next month I think). There may be some great deals to be had on the IX this time next year.

Dam no BLACK EVO IX MR, well i guess a "GSR" will do, ill just get aftermarket HIDs, and I don't want the SSL, because I live in Texas and its too dam hot to have leather, and i don't want a sunroof. So to me its not worth the extra 3grand.

There is no firm production run data on the MR. If demand is there they will build a ton of them. MR production is weighted early in the production year however so you cannot always get one towards the end...only if its on the dealers lot.

The VIN's do not tell the number of MR's either, its simply a plant sequence number (last 6 digits) and nothing more.

I highly doubt more than 1,200 will be made IMO.

No hard data to answer that, but I would guess fewer RS's than MR's.
