a moment of your time if you would (3 ?'s)

currently i drive a base rsx. i am almost done college and would like to treat myself to a new car when i am done. i unfortunately am a bit dissapointed the x will not be out till 08.

anyway. i was looking for the evo x. the evo ix has several versions. 1st ? is will the next evo x have all these versions.

2nd ? is, what are the differences between each version. the mr, rs and so on... i know i can read their website, but i just need some simple answers. i do not know what some of the differences are when i read them. i am no auto savey.

and basically are those differences worth it? i want soemthing alot faster. and i know the speed difference between most of the versions, are the same with the torque.

thanks for the help

Differences between the ix versions are many... from electric windows / leather seats / 6 speed gearbox in the mr to not having those options in the rs... there is no word yet on the evo x when it comes to trim levels. Yes, I'd say the differences are worth it. If u go to a dealership and sit inside an MR and inside an RS u'll be able to see the difference... it's almost a higher class interior.

Nobody knows at this point, but it seems likely there will either be different trim levels or a range of options.

RS is stripped: no antilock brakes, no power windows, no or little soundproofing. It's a bare bones car intended for people who care nothing for comfort/convenience. The base model adds antilock brakes, power windows, soundproofing, etc. It's a more comfortable daily driver. The MR has a 6-speed transmission and an improved suspension that is actually more comfortable than the other models and handles better. Whether or not you consider the 6-speed and advantage is a personal matter. The 5-speed seems to be a little more durable, but the 6-speed has an extra gear, so, at any given time you're more likely to have a more appropriate gear at your disposal.

All three trim levels perform about the same. If you want something significantly faster, you either want a different (probably much more expensive) car, or you want aftermarket modifcations (which will probably void your warranty to some degree). Best bang for the buck would be a used, modded IX with the types of mods you want--power, handling, show, etc.
