Few questions?

I recently moved to Japan to work for a JDM exporting company and am planning on getting a car as soon as possible. I am thinking that I would like to get an EVO, but don't know the differences between all the different models. I know that the earlier versions are lighter, but the later are more refined? What would everyone reccomned. Nothing too new as I don't want to buy a new car at this point. Thanks for all of your help.

I went to the dealership and test drove both models. The new MR seems to have more horse power and a 6 speed. But other then that the EVO 8 which I purchase was definitively the best bang for the buck. Almost $15,000 different because I bought a slightly used one from the dealership. That is just my two cents. I just saved the money for future modifications. I hope this helps from a newbie, also.

The 06 models all have more power/torque than the previous model year. But there are no differences in power between models.

Yeah, but then you would realize that your car is too big to turn down half of the streets and to fit in half the parking spots, plus you have to pay more taxes for inspection. If you have to pay for a parking spot here it costs a fortune. I need a car that is as small as possible. I did drive an r32 the other day though. Nice car

Yes I was asking what is the differnce between the models. Is their a link or something that shows the comparisons between 4,5,6,7,8,9? Are their any main problems I should know about before buying one of these cars?

there's only one thing for you to do.
go to your nearest mitsu dealer and get the IX Final edition (IX MR). Also get it in the red - limited edition, I think. don't bother with anythign else.

FQ400 has to be the "nicest evo evar" but too bad they're only in Europe.
