manual...all the way!!! DSG is way faster in response but w/that you've taken out all the fun & enjoyment of the car...in my opinion.

never would i own a AUTO performance car since thats basically what it is in a nutshell. it takes no skill to drive a DSG, hell even my wife could drive it. and that isnt good but for different reasons. but i cant wait to see the looks on faces when there are two evos and one with the DSG with same power and see the clutch whip his azz. moral is dont be lazy and just pray for a clutch.....................just my two cents

mitsu i feel is taken a big gamble doing this DSG tranny thing, i feel its against all morals considering every evo made has been manual, and yes i know their was the GT-A model but still that doesnt count in my eyes. keep the dsg and tiptronics with the german cars.

I really like the new styling. But, the X has totally lost the grass roots Evo appeal of making something that your grandma would drive (like a regular Lancer) evolve into an absolute beast of a sports car.

The new Lancers, Evos and non look like plain touring cars. They don't look like something a tuner has cooked up in his high-tech garage anymore.

I dunno... that's my IMO...

I doesnt really take any skill to drive a stick either. It is like riding a bike, sure you have to learn how, but being able to ride a bike is no big deal.

I'll drive whatever is faster. DSG, manual, auto, whatever.

None of the above, I would only buy an Evo X if my Evo VIII exploded... Whether the Evo X is better or not (which it is likely far better) I will cherish my Evo VIII until the day it dies. On the question of the transmission, I think the DSG paddle shifting is awesome. And, if I was extremely wealthy I would take my VIII and turn it into a pure track car and have a X as a quick little daily driver (and probably track it a bit too, but just in daily driver form, like my 8 is now).

The purist in me will always go manual, even if the DSG is a little quicker
