HHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMM that front end is nice but mitsu's X is slanted in(shark nose) not a rounded front they are close but there are still alot of differances. The X is sweet all EVO's are sweet stop dissing the new EVO you jealous bastards. Its a mitsu, its a EVO, and if you dont like it then dont buy it but when somebody pulls up next to you in one what is your responce going to be? Are you going to say O you frickn dumb@ss EVO owner or hey I havent seen one in person that is actualy pretty sweet. You see that (DUMB@SS EVO OWNER) it just doesnt sound right now does it? Look at the mustang how many body styles has that ride been threw? Some good some not so good but guys who love mustangs dont hate on othere mustangs, So why cant you guys love each Lancer for what it is! EVOlution

 

I sold my Audi S4 and got an Evo... I don't want to buy a new Evo that is an S4... I hope the X is nothing like my old car. Well ok maybe the Audi interior would be an upgrade. I certainly hope it's lighter though.

not a fan of the body style to plain/ordinary. body to simple.

 

I'm surprised when I hear stuff like this, especially when compared to the 8 and 9. Let's face it, from the firewall back, aside from the rear flares, the 8 and 9 were a study in plain and ordinary.

I find the X to be MUCH more aggressive looking than the 8 or 9 ever were.

 

I pretty much agree with you about the aesthetic comparison between the new Lancer and Evo 8 or 9. I know everyone has different tastes but somehow I have a feeling that much more people would pick the new Lancer over Evo 8 or 9 when it comes to looks. Evo 8/9 looks boxy, looks like every part of the car was taken away from different vehicles, doesn't look cohesive at all. And I also don't find Evo 8/9 to be more aggressive than the new Lancer in GTS form. New Lancer has that shark nosed front fascia to go along with the new and much better looking headlights, as well as the side creases, it just looks more menacing and at a same time a lot cleaner than any previous Lancer. Plus the ground fx kit actually looks as it was made out of factory for the car rather than some cheap looking body kit found on most Evos.

Most of the people who say that the new Lancer doesn't look good/as aggressive/worse than previous gen Lancer/Evos are the people who posses previous gen Lancer/Evos. So you can draw a conclusion from that...

Anyway you look at it, Mitsubishi should sell a whole lot more Lancers/Evo X than the previous generation and thats what Mitsubishi wanted all along. And I don't think Evo X will be any less of an Evo than any previous Evolutions.

 

Anytime there is change, it is usally greeted with hate and great distain, then over a short time it is regarded as new & refreshing, Then it becomes standard, And finally old and econoish looking, Then change happens and..................(start circle)

 

X is the most disgusting Evo of all. It looks like a pansy but not as bad as the new wrx. Evo 9 is great but the best evo of all is the 6 imo.
