that's exactly what i mean! i own a IX, so hell's bells, resale value means a lot to me. the other important thing: it sounds like resale is a forgone conclusion. would most people agree?

wow sounds like a touchy subject, since we're all just speculating I am assuming there won't be much difference in resale value between an VIII or IX as long as they're both in the same condition and both are stock.

My predictions are: I deff think the IXs resale value will be higher than the VIIIs, as long as they are both un-modded. Not all that much more though, maybe 3k or so. If they ARE modded, then they will prob be around the same price.

I think the 8s and 9s will both be more desirable. No investment, but desireable. Here is my reasoning:
Cars get more and more bloated as technology gets better. M3s have become more techy, more luxurious, more weight, etc. Golfs are the same way. What makes the Evo so special (to me, if nothing else) is that it is so "raw" of a car. It is pretty bare bones, ferrociously quick, and has kept a special charm about it that most cars lack. Car enthusiasts will always be interested in these cars, but they won't retain their value like a Supra for many reasons, but they will always capture hearts of those that know.

I predict everyone who owns an 8 will say they'll be worth more, and everyone who owns a 9 will say they'll be worth more --- each for whatever reason.
I also predict that this topic is just going to start arguments.
^___^ (And I predict I'll be staying out of this one.)

Sorry the SUPRA's production was stopped, so was the rx7. The EVO's production won't stop and people will dish for the newer ones with better tech than buy your old ones. In 10 years you will get what its worth in 10 years and that is about it. Nothing more and no it won't be a classic.
