So you know that Horsepower is an arbitrary number calculated from torque right?

(torque x rpms / 5252 ) = horsepower....

that's why dyno lines match @ 5252 rpms.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question622.htm

I mean, with that being said, more torque much sooner would make it quite obvious why it's able to make numbers like that...

and 11s 1/4 miles are posted all day long on ls1tech.com, from 3700lb cars with 400-430hp... and 440-450ft/lbs

if horsepower was the answer, then audi's diesel powered lemans racer would've been dominated, instead of dominating like it did...

Q1 2008 is what people are saying, and the price is claimed to be between 32K - 36K.

My god, what a horrid STi..I think the only thing I like on it is the Rims! I think the best years for both cars were the 06 versions!

Haha, I can't believe how many people hate the Evo X, but love that tiny little focus-look-alike STi.

I think that STi looks better than the previous one and being a hatch is a major + in my book. Being a 4-door hatch is even better!
Not only I think they look good if designed well, but you can put a freaking fridge in the back when you fold the seats. And there's what really bothers me in a sedan, almost no utility.
And yes, I'm from Europe, 31, married w/ children so I look for some other things in a car than some.

That isn't the next STI, it's Road and Tracks guess as to what it will look like.

*Ahem* go to page 4 towards the bottom to my first post with the link... It's not a Road and Track report. It's a Subaru website! With the same ugly hatch!

Thank you.

Well the pics of the WRX give you a pretty good idea of what the STI will look like... There isn't that big of a body style change
