IX v X, who cares. we are all evo drivers!

im just getting a little tired of seeing evo owners attack other owners or get defensive about their own model of evo.

we all share a passion for driving (at least the true enthusiasts), so lets just appreciate each model for what it is and quit the juvenile behaviour!

end rant-any once else feel this way?

by the way, i have IX and luv it, but also think the X looks hot. its unproven but i hope mitsubishi keeps the purity of evo and its alllll good.

Yeah I agree, but this is not uncommon when a brand new model that is so different from the previous model is about to be released. I think one of the worst cases I ever witnessed of haterade on the new model was the C5 owners attitudes towards the C6 when it was about to be released. If you think EVO owners are bad, should have seen them, man they were just blasting the C6. Saying it looked to EURO (That is a bad thing?), what happend to the pop up lights (Um pop up lights were like dead in the 90s, Chevy just missed that memo.), the interior is too nice with too many options (Again that is bad thing? Lets not forget the C6 is actually lighter than the C5.), and some other silly comments. Eventually the C6 won every body over, and so will the EVO X as long as it performs like an EVO.

people were just disappointed. everyone have their own expectations. for some, Mitsu didnt meet their expectations and fkd it all up with the X on the otherhand, others were curious about the new X therefor they are excited on what to come. as for me, i was only disappointed to its new look but have no doubt it will be kickin some serious @ss just like any other Evos in our time. IX 4ever.

i understand its still an unknown and mitsubishi seem to be moving in a new direction. but i also know its 2007 and customers expect different things, whats wrong with a little luxury and design as long as the performance remains or gets even better?

Because if you take that luxury out, the car is even lighter, and fasterER! That's what Evo's are about. I don't want ANY luxury, except for maybe heating, AC, and a radio. I'm just waiting for the Evo XII. (cycles are in threes so far - the evo III and VI were amazing).

Unfortunately, yes, I think the X will outperform our Evos... I'm going to test drive one as soon as I can, though I doubt I'll buy one.

I dont have neither, but I think that Evo X looks way better then IX.
If X got a lot of issues with modability then I will prolly get IX when I get back to states.
