Post Pricing Speculation

I was searching about the internet and these fourms for any speculation on the pricing of the new Evo X but i really couldnt find anything. Does anyone have a clue or want to poke around in the dark on what you think the price for the new Evo is gonna be. Ive been saving up my money for an evo for the past year and then I heard this monster is coming out so my interest is at its peak. The biggest concern I have over getting the new Evo is pricing. Is it going to be the same pricing platform as the older models or are the going to spike it up because of the new tech there putting in. If I find that the new evo's price is ridiculous than im probably just going to get the 07 Sub STI. I hope this new evo comes out to be my dream car with a dream price .

It's tough to say.. I think everyone's pretty sure it'll be in the 30s. But narrowing it down further will be tough. We don't know if there will be multiple models (ala RS,SE,MR, etc.)

If there will be just one model, I'd say they'll shoot for 35-36K fully loaded. But if there are mutiple models, who knows? There might be a model at 40K, or as low as 30K.

If you're on a budget, you may want to wait for the Lancer Ralliart. It's looking like it may be a Baby-Evo, with AWD and a turbo.

I have no idea, but it is often the case that you can get a better deal if you shop around for a loan yourself.

If you get a loan yourself, buy in the same state, otherwise it's a hassle.

My guess is that there will be a model under $40k. Probably gonna be a few hundred to $1k over current prices. May not be an RS model, so starting around $34xxx and going up from there.

I would think $2k - $3k over current pricing because of the extra gadgets.

Eh, get at a bank or credit union for financing as a first option then. Don't go for a manufacturer's deal unless it beats other financing you have in the background. Have them beat what you already have instead of having them know you don't have no other options & pocket extra change in a financing deal. That way you can focus much better on how much you'd pay for the Evo X in negotiations...

....speaking of which, I'm thinking that this can stay within the same price range of the current Evo's @ 36k max. The Ralliart sounds sexy as hell as an alternative espeically if it gets placed in 25k range (awd + turbo? why not) but from what I'm hearing that may drop alittle later after the Evo.

Considering all the toys the "X" is going to come with....S-AWC etc,18" wheels, look for the standard to be about $35,000 with 5spd gearbox and closer to $40,000 for the eventual MR with 19" wheels, etc.
Also from what I remember, the transmission with the dual wet-clutch design is going to be a heafty price tag if it does make it here.

My best guess: $32,274 for a straight X up to $37,274 fully loaded.
I don't believe Mitsu will release an RS in the short 2008 run. I don't think the manual will make it in 2008 either, purely from a marketing standpoint.
