Hmm..

From when the X hits lots + 1month for the shops to get a hold of one + 1 month of development time + 1 month for any approvals = 3 months at the earliest. I think the undercarriage will be different enough from the Lancer that they won't be able to have a kit ready.

All new engine and all new under carriage, I think it might be longer than three months.

It doesn't take long to custom bend exhaust pipe and weld on flanges. The quickest route will be to cut the stock one off and copy the angles. It won't be long for the first exhaust systems.

True, it could be done. What about the internals? Those would take longer and the computers, those always take a little more time.

it can be done in one day, just go to lows or eagle hardware and buy some home washer/dryer pipes and make a custome exhaust that way, it would be as light as the aluminum block. and while your at it, throw in some downy freshener on the tip so it will smell april fresh.

A friend of mine runs the official HKS import in Sweden and he was visiting HKS Europe that resides in the UK a while ago and according to them HKS in Japan has already got an X to use for developing after market parts. I don’t know if this is just another rumour but that was what he said at least

That would be AWESOME....

With companies already developing aftermarket parts for the 07 lancer. It should take even less time for companies to make mods for the evo.

How the hell would anyone be able to seriously answer that question?

It's actually a very simple question to answer, "as soon as they (they as in after market manufacturer) get their hands on a car to model from". Not a very specific answer i terms of actual time though

Exhausts and CAI's will be out within a month of the car release and other things will start trickling in after that. It will take a little time to figure out the biggest restrictions.
