new lancer

I personally really like the new look of the new Lancer. I think Mitsubishi is taking the franchise in the right direction. Just my 2 cents...

Totally agree with you. I saw another 2008 Lancer on the road yesterday, actually I saw two of them and I just don't know what some people are thinking, the car looks pretty damn good on the road I was just looking at it and imagining it with the EVO and Ralliart treatment and I must say the EVO X and the Ralliart are gonna look extremely nice on the road.

That's not a meatball, that's a pumpkin :-) And the article does say "The Ralliart is expected to have all-wheel drive and a turbocharged four-cylinder making 220-230 horsepower."

I'm just diggin' the new lancers. If they decide to make this a WRX competitor, I might seriously look into gettin' one, pending pricing.

You're a little behind. The new Ralliart (possibly Lancer GSX in the US) will be turbo and AWD.

That would be pretty sweet if they brought back the GSX label.

I forget where I read it, but it was speculated that Mitsu would use the GSX label isntead of Ralliart in the US because it has greater recognition, especially as a Turbo AWD trimline.

With 311lb-ft of torque, that hp rating is definately underrated.

You know that that all the X parts will probably be compatible for the Lancer RA (or GSX, whichever name they choose) like the STi -> WRX for the Scoobs...

The GSX probably won't have as advanced an AWD or suspension or gadgetry, but I'm sure engine internals/turbos/exhausts/et all, if not the same for both cars, will be swappable from the X to the GSX. Which is pretty cool if you ask me, allowing more enthusiasts to enter the market and greater upgrade flexibility when all the X tuners start modding as well.

I love the way Mitsubishi is coming around with this whole thing. They just might not go belly up afterall!

I think as the Evo gets pushed to a higher and higher price, the RA looks to be the car a lot of us will be able to afford and have more cash left over for mods.
