a DSM is definitely a possibilty as it meets all the above criteria and is substantially cheaper than the other three. Its what I chose three years ago and I'm still rocking it (my DSM) to this day. No regrets!!

Well if you must know it fails the 8km/hr crash test. The vehicle is only suppose to sustain VERY minimal amount of damage at that speed and the way the EVO 8/9 is designed the intercooler gets damaged in the process so the cost to repair are higher then they should be at that speed by Canadian standards.
I've been into Evos for a very long time and I also know lots about them. I'm in no way bashing any previous Evos that have been made, I love them all. I almost bought an Evo 1 this week as a matter of fact but that's a whole other story.
IMO I believe that the Evo X will be a great Evo even without the mighty 4g63. I'm not affraid to see change happen but NONE of us at this point can say for sure that the EVO X is better or worse that any evo before it. We can just wait and see what happens when the specs are released and the car comes out so that it can be tested to see it's real potential.
Also I'm done arguing with you because there is no point in doing so. I got nothing to prove to you. If you think that because I don't own an EVO that makes me less knowledgable about the history of the Evo than good for you, I know what I know. So unless you got something smart to say please don't reply to me because I don't need to read another excuse about how you are better than me.

To everyone else, I'm sorry for all of the off topic stuff. I hope that in the future these threads stay more on topic.
Also for what it's worth, the pics that were posted here of the spotted evo were great. Thanks

i like the evo x... but the evo ix gives a more fierce "get the *** outta my way or i'll blow you away" type feeling. anyone that sees it , even people that dont know about cars (i've been driving with them) and they see an IX or XIII and go "Damnn look at that. looks crazy"

I agree with highbredcloud.

The concept and photoshops pics I saw here are far better than the real Evo X.

1520kg for the SST version, Is Mitsu smoking something?
Just 320hp? when we just can call a sport car if it is 400hp+

It seems that Mitsu is doing with the X the same they did with the eclipse and Galant, fat cars.

I laugh everytime I see the BMI video of the Evo 7 vs the M3 vs the Ferrari 360 modena...(Evo wins); imagine the same test today, Evo X 320hp vs BMW M3 415hp vs the Ferrai F430 490hp...

The only one japanese maf. that is going in the right way is the Nissan with the new V6 twin turbo 450Hp Skyline.

people said the same thing about the eclipse when they took the turbo away. look how that car turned out.
i highly doubt the evo x will be as moddable as the previous 9 if it is moddable i bet it will be a huge pain in the ***. again just my opinion.

look happened when they changed the body style dramastically on the eclipse became a chick car. im not saying its going to be chick car cause of price but there going after the middle aged men that would be buying bwm or audi instead. there saying goodbye to the tuners.

Thats hilarious! The engineer dude knows the car paparazzi follows them everywhere in LA basin & around death valley for hot weather testing. . . .I used to spot test mules sometimes daily in Socal...everything from the new body Mustang to future minivans with hefty bags on the windows.

if 12-15k wasn't that big a deal then I'd just go for the Nissan GT-R.
