You guys are idiots if you think 0-60 is all that matters.
There is a bunch of other things that makes the car good, and being 39% or whatevers stiffer says alot. We don't know about its modding potential yet, so lets not jump to conclusions. You swear you can feel a difference between 4.8 and 5.0.
People think they can feel tenths of seconds that is freaking ridiculous

hmmm...they are saying 2 seconds faster around a certain track vs an evo 9 stock for stock. Motor Trend got a .97g on the skidpad. It may be porkier and a bit slower in the straight line, but hot damn this is looking like a big improvement on a track with turns. Sounds good to me, and this coming from a straight line fan.

Like it or not, new car buyers are wanting more refinement and luxury, even in their sports cars. Go take a look at any new Porsche and Ferrari; then find one from even 10 yrs ago and you will see what I mean. Those cars have turned from hardcore sports offerings to nice everyday luxury sports cars. If you want a true race machine there will always be companies like Lotus, Noble, Ariel, etc.
It may not be the end of the world but it is considered a step in the wrong direction for some of the current evo owners. I like the original through 9 because it is a raw lean mean sports sedan. The X looks more rounded and german and the added weight makes me think it will feel that way too, even if it is faster around a track. I'm sure the new "classy" attitude will sell more evo's but its just not for me, If i was in the market for something similar to the X I'd pork up the extra cash and get a 335i and start working on the suspension.

Im not defending the X because i am buying one no no. I am far from getting one i am just defending it because threads like these have been made thousands of times and its getting old.
I really dont care if you think the X is ugly, i was just saying 0-60 doesn't constitute a ****ty car which most of the haters are thinking.
My point is don't write the car off before you've driven one because i can gaurantee you, you won't feel the difference between your 9s 0-60 and the X 0-60.
