Stop feeling down about not having a 2011 Evo X. If the reports are true of what the Evo XI will be, then you can pride yourself in saying "I have the last GAS Evo." Who cares if you didn't get "the last YEAR of the last gas Evo." You have an amazing ride and you should be thankful for that rather than dwelling on wanting the omega or whatever you want to call it.

 

Wow! LOL! Alot of the other salesguys and tech`s were laughing when I told them about that Hybrid Evo. They`re like, "yeah a rally car gone hybrid, thats going to sell...."

Okay 2011 Evolution is basically no change, They may tweak the Handling Package on the GSR but thats about it. Price will also be affected. As you all know Evo`s dont come out in model years, they come out in "evolutions".

Let`s clear the air about a few things,

1) Six Speed Manual Transmission: I HIGHLY doubt this, i`ve asked over and over and over why the hell we dont have a 6 speed, Answer is basically "we dont need one, and we learned from the previous generation of cramming six gears and reverse had drastic effects. Nix the Six speed already. Yes Mazda Has it, Honda has it and they both work fine in the Mazdaspeed 3 and Civic SI....Ive worked for all 3 companies and those boxes feel a bit nicer than our boxes. Especially the Torque steering MSpeed3.

2)Hybrid powered Evos.... Lol... come on really? They`ll make the Lancer Hybrid before our flagship car....The Evo Is made,built,sold to a certain market....Mitsu is retarted when doing warranty but they arent going to kill their fanbase by making the 50,000 (canadian Dollars im quoting) piece of toy metal. How the hell would the car perform???? Forget Hybrid, The Gas stays.

3)2011 Lancer Evolutions: Basically going to be a 2010 Lancer Evolution with a 2011 production tag....they might tweak the GSR Handling Package which is a Canadian thing, the American Market may get a small upgrade or downgrade, Im not fully sure.

the only reason im upset is that the 2011 gsr's are supposing gonna get a leather and moon roof package,which i probably would've gotten .

 

With what you've just listed, I don't see why you didn't just get the mr touring, unless its cuz of the transmission. Anyways, don't fret until you know for sure what's gonna be available next year.

 

Paddle shifters suck, so I'm assuming that's why he didn't want the MR.

Well at least you get the bling color LCD, side skirts that protect from rock chips, Ralliart taillights, most of the 1st year model bugs corrected. I love my 2008 but I'd trade it for a 2010 without hesitation.
