Gauges are a possibility.

Dear lord, I hope the RS is a possibility also.

Tranny upgrade, like someone else said, not gonna happen. I hope they fix the center diff issue on the previous X's though.

Also, like someone else said, I hope they start offering the leather from the MR Touring as an option. I hope they don't put it with the SSS package though, I wish they would make it as an option by itself, because I hate sunroofs but I don't mind the leather, lol. Doubt they would make it seperate though, but I still think it would be a good idea.

Also, besides the base Lancer, I'd almost bet that the Ralliart and Evo's are the most popular Mitsu cars right now. If this is statistically true, I sure hope they fix some of the minor issues with them. (center diff, weird rear seat burn, etc.)
Sorry man, not hating at all, just sayin...

Plus, didn't realize that DI was that expensive. With trying to be ahead of the game with the electric drivetrain stuff, you'd think that they had DI in their back pocket, just waiting for the right time to release it.... Dah well.

Regarding wanting more from the interior... Its not that I want more luxury (on the contrary, I love Evos for their raw rally-bred heritage), just more.... durability, on the inside. You've got to admit, its pretty pathetic how poor the overall quality, minus the mechanical technology, is. If the Evo is supposed to be an evolved Lancer.... Why didn't the interior "evolve"? Side note: This is the most expensive car I've owned, so I had high expectations for the quality, where a lot of the inexpensive cars have GREAT interiors. Just sayin.

Don't get me wrong, I love my X. Best car I've ever owned. I also plan on keepin her.... That is, if they don't offer an upgraded one before the XI..

touche, lol. i guess im the pot calling the kettle black eh?

Well it's not really that I want luxury, just my wife, lol. The wife prefers leather over cloth and I think it looks nicer than the cloth also, but I'd prefer cloth because I slide all over the place with my leather right now during hard turns.

if it was up to me- cloth, but now that I have a family to keep happy, I hope they offer the leather on GSR's.

it was hard enough getting the OK to get a manual transmission! LOL

I guess I've just never been a person to really complain about an interior, unless it's tan. I hate tan. Other than that, I don't really pay it too much attention. I'm pretty gentle with my vehicles, and I don't really pay much attention to squeaks and rattles. I'm in the minority with this one though probably. Every other complaint on every car forum is "too many squeaks and rattles"

I feel ya on the wife preferences thing. I like cloth, but leather is so much easier to keep clean. And since we moved to Tucson, the summers will cook our a$$es off with leather. I'll have to search for a thread that has the possible weight savings to be had on the X. I guess I can search for the curb weight of a JDM RS as well..

That is what they said. I had thought it strange, but I know they get things that we don't. They were very specific about it having a "proper gear box".

Yell as loud as you want... I doubt Mitsu even reads these forums... and maybe, just maybe, someone inside Mitsubishi wishes as much as all of us, but it's harder than we think for a car maker to come up with things we haven't asked for...

Maybe if we start a mail campaign and write half a Million letters to Mitsubishi R&D in Cali, to let them know EXACTLY just what 10,000 Evo/Ralliart/Lancer buyers want... Pun intended

If all the evo Xs came with leather setas from the mr I would not have bought one. I am happy with the way it is. As for rattles most are easy to fix so not a problem there. I do think they should have added boost to the center display or a setup up like they had on the previous models

My 2010 MR Touring does not use a fake CF trim. It is a glossy plastic material which, IMO looks better than the fake CF.

^ But the fake carbon fiber was only used on the IXs... the non-MR Touring Evo Xs used some other pattern with criss-crossing lines. But I agree, it does look nice.

If the MR Touring could either be cheaper or consistently do 12s in the quarter-mile (as an added bonus to its handling capabilities) as a result of more power--or both--then I would strongly consider one.

Don't know about cheaper but conisitent 12s should be no problem. I haven't been to the strip yet, but my modified MR T is running pretty strong.

DI is a huge step backwards in tunability potential (see 335i, Mazdaspeed 6, and the Slobalt SS for proof). You don't want that in an Evo, trust me.

Here's my dream list:
-200 pound weight reduction
-Engine quality control. Pistons and rings addressed and pushed to handle more power.
-Transmission: Taller final drive from CT9A with dedicated reverse. Evo IX gears with VIII third and fourth gears.
-Slightly larger turbo, larger compressor with output like an Evo IX 16G. Hotside stays same.
-Nicer interior trim. Aluminum, carbon fiber, or faux carbon fiber would help.
-MR seat coverings in GSR
-Metal clutch master cylinder
-Thicker and higher quality paint

As much of a downside that might be, I think it's more important for the car to be even better off the showroom floor. If DI gets that accomplished but hinders modding, I wouldn't be totally against it. Perhaps it will prevent people from modding their cars too much (unless they're really track-dedicated), which would help Mitsubishi be more cut-and-dry with their warranty work without having to argue with people about whether or not work is required because of the mods or not.

I'm seriously considering buying an Evo X in the next few months, but I think I might give it some time to see if they do anything with the 2011 model year. Sure, it's picky, but the interior quality and iPod/iPhone integration are niggling annoyances with a car this pricey. Especially when a Honda Fit for 15k has iPod integration and near-comparable interior quality.

+1 ..

I wish the frame was aluminum.. Charge like 5k more.. I would pay..
Revised higher gear ratios or 6th gear
No trunk button on SSS.. It looks kinda out of place
Maybe try a 2 door design? and reduce wheelbase and more weight saving? Would love to see a evo coupe..
Redesigned skid plate.. I hate taking the number of bolts off to just do some work down there.. sheesh
Interior is fine.. Poor quality and rattley but just strip it for weight savings.
BLACK headliner.. Why did they make the dash black, the A pillars white and headliner white too? All black would have been badass.
