2011/2012 changes for the X?
Would love a long final drive or 6 Speed but not a weak one.
Better Gsr seats, doesnt have to be leather, but something better than what they use now.
Slightly larger turbo possibly.
Nice 150-200 lb weight reduction.

But with all of you guys suggesting this weight reduction, how do you expect them to do it? They're not going to follow the NSX and just make the whole body out of aluminum... not going to happen.
I just wish there was a MR package available for the gsr including MR leather interior, bbs wheels, chrome trim like on the AC controls and have the sunroof as a separate option. I just sat in the MR not too long ago and wat a difference in how the interior felt. Plus leather is alot more durable than cloth. I think the MR touring is how all the evos interior should be considering how expensive the car is any more. Soon the base price is going be $36,000. They have to add more to justify the high pricing.
I too would like to see:
2-300 lb weight reduction
drop the 5 spd for a 6 spd manual as standard equipment
keep the SST as an option
increase engine displacement by a little bit
DI
4 piston calipers at all 4 corners
use higher quality paint
Well, as far as upping the displacement, they stuck with the 2.0L to follow the WRC homologation rules. Since Subaru pulled out of WRC, they were able to up the STI's displacement to 2.5L....
How about an MR with optional manual tranny??

What i want to see is an ejection seat for those holy s**t moments!!!
BTW pick up this months magazine of motor trend it assures us that the next evo will be a hybrid with around 320 hp with the electric motor for the rear wheels and the gas engine for the front... RIP evo

I would not mind mitsu to put out a hybrid lancer in the market but come on an evo??? WTF!!!! AMS/BUSHUR and other tuners better start working on learning how to tune powerwheels!!!
Subaru had a 2.5L EJ25 in the US since 2004 while they were still in WRC... but Subaru still use a 2.0L for P-WRC homologation, Only that it isn't available in the US.
Speaking in the case of the "Slobalt SS", you are misinformed. That community is doing quite well tuning DI. It did take a bit for their tuners to get familiar with it, but they have their fair share of tephras and mr freds out there that have helped that process along. For them, DI is not an obstical. I think the Evo tuning community would be able to work with it just as well as we have a dedicated bunch.

That's been the biggest hurdle I've seen is no one makes a larger injector upgrade because they are all unique for each application at this point. Higher flowing/pressure pumps aren't that hard. VW/Audi already have them out.
The 335 has tuning options out there but once you max out the injectors which is easy to do with a TBE, IC and tune you are pretty much done.
There are no larger injectors available for the LNF. But it looks to be one of the things that GM did right as they are supposedly not needed. I guess it depends on how big of a turbo they would go. I am not up on that knowledge. That little Borg-Warner turbo they have is their limiting factor, not the fueling system.

So, combine that with the 30% BMW tax and no one has really gotten in too much of a hurry to sort it out.
